I feel like I’m obligated to write this, but I also want to.  I’m going to do it bullet-style, and no links (unless I get bored at work tomorrow - highly unlikely).

• Life: 2nd and 3rd year resident.  Lost my shit in Jan-Feb.  Not surprising given the hours required of me.  I can’t tell you how many times I thought, “I am fundamentally NOT ok right now” in those two months.  At some point in the months following, I found my shit and got back to being ok.
• Love: Really nothing much to talk about here.  I cried over one guy, total, all year (a record low number since age 16, I believe).  Went from being worried about being single forever to seriously questioning whether I’m happiest single.  Refuse to call single “being alone” since I feel like I’m really not ALONE.  There is so much OTHER love in my life - friends, family, friends who feel like family.
• Athletics: Ran a marathon. No biggie.  Got to meet Carolyn (I will break my no links rule for you!) and spend the weekend with her in Chicago.  Saw/met SO many other tumblrs as well - Alishan and Emily being two I had been dying to see again for almost two years.
• Work: see life.  Debated all year whether to go into fellowship when I finish or “get a real job.”  Remain undecided.  Look for a decision in early summer 2013.
• Overall: I think 2011 represents a significant upward trend from 2010, and truly believe that this will continue through 2012.
